Birthday Boy!

Oliver is 3! I can't believe it. It seems like both forever and an instant that he has been part of our lives. He has been ready to turn 3 for awhile now, since he is behind most of his close friends by a few months. We had his birthday party at Lawrence Gymnastics Academy, where he also takes classes. LGA does a birthday package deal that is supposed to be stress-free. While it wasn't quite that, it certainly was less stressful than trying to plan the whole thing myself and have my house trashed in the process! Oliver had a great time with his buds. And, Pa Pa and Nana were on hand to help celebrate, as well as Aunt Jennifer, who scored a last-minute plane ticket and braved tropical storms to make it on time.
For Oliver's actual birthday (Tuesday, June 11), he sadly had to go to school all day, poor thing. But, I did send cupcakes (a must in his world), and Daddy, Mommy and Oliver went out to a birthday dinner at Fuzzy's Tacos (seriously, I die. They are so good.) and ice cream at Sylas & Maddy's. Then, it was home to open more presents and off to bed dreaming of having a birthday day every day).
Now, if we could just nip this early morning wandering into Mommy and Daddy's bed and scaring the bejeezus out of me, having a three year old around will be just dandy.
Top of the bouncy house/slide they bring in for birthday parties.

Brave Pa Pa putting together Oliver's gift from Noah and Madeline Clothier (only about a thousand pieces to this work bench).
Hooray for grandparents and birthday boys!
